Don't wait until your computer crashes before you think about backing up your data. It would be a shame to
lose all your pictures or music you bought! You have several options for what you want to store your backup
data on : 2nd internal hard drive, external hard drive, flash drive, memory card, DVD, or CD. If you provide
your own hard drive/flash drive/memory card, or purchase one from me, the rate is $50 for
unlimited backup (up to the capacity of your storage device). If you choose to backup to DVD/CD, the
$50 rate will include up to 3 discs of your choice. A $5 charge will be added for
each additional disc after the first 3. Remember, a CD can hold only 700mb, while a DVD can hold 4700mb (4.7gb).
It might be a good time to upgrade to a DVD burner if you're still using CD's.
Storage devices are very sensitive things, subject to ESD (shock), scratches, moisture, and other things that
can irreversibly damage them. You can verify the integrity of the backup at the time of service, but I can not
and will not be held responsible for data loss of any kind if one or both of your main/backup devices fail at a
later date.
